Lake Success
Lake view Located in the Sierra Nevada Foothills eight miles east of Porterville, Lake Success offers fishing, boating, water skiing, camping, picnicking, and more. Success Dam and Lake is a multi-purpose facility, built to provide flood control and irrigation.

Construction of the earth-filled dam was completed in 1961. It spans 3,490 feet across the Tule River and is 142 feet high. When full, the lake contains 82,500 acre-feet of water with a surface area of 2,450 acres. Lake Success is 3 1/2 miles long with over 30 miles of shoreline.
